to keep my cynicism, sarcasm and judgementalism in check when I was dragged
to the local Harley dealership by my SO [1].

It lasted approximately 5 minutes until I heard the salesman talking to a
atypical chap (in England shirt) about how the V-Rod would 'leave a
Fireblade in the dust from the lights, then keep on pulling away all the way
    up to 150mph - yours sir, for £9 000'.

I did get a funny look when I snorted slightly and looked the other way - I
feel they may have suspected I wasn't there to buy.

Other 'sights' - a Buell going rusty _in the showroom_ - a 2nd hand Honda
Deauville described as "a sporty bike" and various 'safety' jackets, all
made in China, of leather I could practically see through all priced at
    £400+

Also, and maybe this is just me, but WTF do people think little leather
vests are the height of fashion? With tassles?!

[1] her dad has one - now her mum and dad want to get all the gear too -
    AIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Yebbut look at all the Shite leathers that the power rangers are wearing.
I even saw a lady in Homebase today with a really 'orrible 'fireblade'
    jacket FFS.

  7. I remember when he won the draw for the free ride on one of the French
Runs - and didn't stay after the first night!

  13. Being extremely insulting to me *every* time I've ever met him. Even
other ukrmers have asked him why he was so rude to me - he seemed to
think it was some sort of "joke".

I don't consider I have ever done anything to him to warrant his
treatment of me. If I had then I'd expect some sort of (justified)
    negative response.

I have no time for the man.

That is a put down if ever I've heard one! Did you turn your head up and
to the side immediately afterwards for full effect?

  18. If you're bandying death threats around, I haven't had one for *ages*.

(OK, so it's not a threat as such, but these days I'll settle for "I
    wish you'd die....")

The V-Rod was one of the most disappointing bikes I've ever ridden. The
engine was underwhelming and the handling felt dangerous.

    It might be quicker than a Blade in a 30mph top-gear roll-on but that's
    about it.

The Dyna Sport 1450 is a much better bike from the perspective of the
engine, the ride and the handling.
