I tossed Mr.RC45 away...

Discussion in 'Bay Area Bikers' started by Larry xlax Lovisone, Aug 16, 2005.

  1. She was shocked to hear it. She said, "I guess it happens to the best of
    us."

I think deep down she was a little hurt. She loved sitting on it. Kept on
talking about how lightweight it felt.

Since Kelly and Karri are both on the list, and since they're both around
Seattle, I propose a wrestling match to determine the eventual inheritor.
Kelly, I'll let you pick the medium: mud, Jell-O, Astroglide, 10W-40... you
name it. Best 8 out of 15 takes it. ;)

  4. [Incredulous smirk here, snarky comment below.]
Yes, the hide itself is half the weight of cowhide, and 50% stronger, but
all those other doodads (armor, zippers, etc.) don't get any lighter.

If you're getting a custom suit anyway, the incremental extra cost is only
about 20%. You can get a custom suit in "Canguru" cheaper than an off-the-rack
Dainese Sukhoi in old-fashioned bovine skin.
You gonna adopt those colors for the bike? Green and orange? Are you
    sure you didn't suffer a concussion? ;-)

Geez, I'm glad you are ok, Larry. Knowing you though, Mr. RC45 will be good
as new (or better), real soon.

Btw, don't do that again. Sand is good on dance floors, not roadways. ;)

bbbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzttt.. us flat trackers knows that the
tread pattern offers grip in the dirt..and even use razor
blades to cut away pieces of the tread to give a sharper edge
    on ovals.

You wuz ridin on DIRT.. there Larry. You needed some tread.
You were dirt tracking in actuality. You cant dirt track on
    slicks.

  17. The trouble was there wasn't enough DIRT... I've dirt dogged Mr.RC45 a couple of
times due to over cooking a corner on race tracks... I can steer with the rear
just fine and slide my way back on the asphalt...

Well fine. None the less you were dirt riding on the 45
calibre factory bike... and rubber with tread to the edge
would have had more traction than those tires you were running
that were slick when heeled ovah...

however while some side tread may have helped, you lost it in
a classic sand on the road situation that is known to take out
    bikes regardless the rubber.
