    Cheers!

I replied to your email btw. It said more or less what we agreed on the
phone - To sort out the trip arrangements at the BOSM.

    Cost per hour so far?

I spent my lunch planting potatoes, thats *proper* exercise that is, and
something close to your peasant roots to be sure.

    Aye, cheers.

Will you be at the festivities in Derby at the weekend?

With the offer of pay I've been given so far, it almost isn't worth
doing more than a day and staying on the jam-roll. I'd like to be able
to go over a few options with SWK - That's you :)

Well it's funny you should say that. It took four days to get used to
slowing down for junctions and not careering through roundabouts like
    they weren't there ;o)

    Hahahahaha!

I can roll a fag and eat a pork pie at the same time.

I'd say I'm halfway there already.

    I passed! <G>

Well done that Pork Pie eating hooligan.

There are plenty of companys looking for drivers over your neck of the
    woods.
As others say, it all starts now.

Agency work can be a bit arsey according to several drivers I have talked
to, but at least it's money and experience.

Punt arounda few Plant Hire companies and see if they need anyone.

My neck of the woods? I'm wanting to do stuff that'll take me out of
    Lunnon. Loads of agencies though.
The only way to break the no job, no experience / no experience, no job
    cycle is agencies IMVLE.
Do you want to borrow a peace lilly?

Seriously, I'm going to be bombarding just about everyone in the next
few weeks. If there's nothing permanent out there that beats what I'm
getting atm, then it's one day a week until I can get out of London.

<Last post cancelled due to stupidity>

Basically agencies are the only way I can see of breaking the "no job,
no experience / no experience, no job" cycle.

If working a full week is financially viable I'll go full time with a
permanent firm but until then it's a day a week with the agencies (a
poultry 7 or 8 quid an hour) until I have enough experience to convince
a proper firm I can do the job.

Girlfriend's brother is recouping after a nasty incident involving one of
those. Something like a very large bar/metal girder hitting him full on the
face which has required "corrective" surgery to compensate the crushing
impact. I think he will be needing the vodka we bought him to help
    recouperate.

I don't think you'll be missing much without one....

I've had a "metal bar" incident on my face[1], in fact, the black blob
below my left eye is still visible. I had to have stitches in my eyelid
    and nose.

[1] Not due to a forklift or thuggery but a greasy loading bay door lip.
