    Hi all

Got to work last night and found that my tail light had spontaneously cured
itself. Left work this morning and my LH indicator was flashing twice as
fast as usual, looked back rear indicator out. Halfway home indicated
left, indicator now flashing normally, checked at lights, rear one now
    flashing normally!
Waiting for headlight to spin around and spew brake fluid at me.

Well, there you go. A problem that everyone assumed was a
dodgy earth has resolved itself to be almost certainly a
    dodgy earth. Check it.

If its "your" bike, then by definition it must be possessed.

Sorry, it had to be said ....

I thought the headlight might spin round and growl, "Did you see what she
    diiiiiiiiiid?"

Even a mug like me can recognise a bad earth somewhere. A mug like me
wouldn't be able to find it, though.

probably is the bad earth everyone is suggesting, but for the left field
option check the flasher can (assuming whatever bike you have has one as
opposed to solid state electrickery type components. The double speed
blinker flash is usually a blown bulb,or poor contact of a bulb.
Occasionally it can be the flasher unit

What's the good of that? Sacrifices are poured on the ground (or on the
    fire).

Gary Woodman is of the opinion:
But it doesn't have to be directly, does it? I mean, how reduced is the
sacrifice's power if it's been purified by my kidneys?

And *then* it can be poured on the ground or on the fire.
