I can't believe nobody has commented on his huge horn overnight.

  2. I've seen one take a dump on a back road into Lewes.

Oh, I probably did. TBH, I'm having trouble adjusting to you being a
normal person; these days you say stuff that the old Bear would have
baulked at. I'll wind it in.

I've been ill-ish for about three weeks - started in a ski resort
where loads of people were getting flu, but was just a bad cold that
turned into a cough. Then it turned into a bronchial infection for
which I'm still taking antibiotics, and it still doesn't show any
signs of disappearing any time soon.

I've got heated grips - they truly are lovely.

Mind you it's also got wind deflectors - the combination is rather
    effective, if visually lacking.

I always seem to lose about 25% of my stuff whenever I move house -
only important stuff that I want, mind.

I noticed this a bit at the Uni open day, that's what made my mind up
for sure. I know it'll be tough, but I'm going to give it my best shot.
In the tough times ahead, I'll remember how I used to be up to my elbows
in waste and dirt at that kitchen, so exhausted I felt like was going to
puke with the thought of having to do it all again tomorrow. BTDT, and
never _ever_ want to do that again.

I'll go visit the council today, to see how they can help me with this.
    Why is it Bears fault?
That's what I'm thinking, Brighton Uni did say that they were industry
focused and consult with companies closely. Hopefully this'll lead to a
    good placement.
    Thank you.

That sounds fairly reasonable.. I've had to get used to doing technical
presentations and acting as the answer man during public lectures and
stuff. Standing up and speaking in a class full of 19 year olds will be
    easy after that. :)

    "Postcombe-Didcot" more like it.

Still, ugly rider, ugly bike :)

I know this isn't related to this thread... but..

It seems that every time I've walked anywhere with my bike gear on, and
my flip front up on my crash hat.. there have been strange women come up
to me wanting pictures, and hugs and such.

Today I was walking back through Brighton, and it happened again. Some
strange student type walked up to me and gave me a hug.

The hand-guards on the tractor are the best-looking bits.

dwb emerged from their own little world to say
The handguards on the GS are a very robust construction compared to the
flimsy things I had on my Dominator.

They are just the right height for twanging MPV & Transit van door mirrors.

  19. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "platypus"
It was, mate. Me progressing down the street with a full 24" of glowing
hard chrome in front of me was enough catch the eye of many a young
    lass.
