  2. **** knows. My first thought was the Spice Girls movie because Posh was
driving the double decker in that.

I've not seen the shootist. I think I'd remember a bus jumping a bridge
    :)
Not on any of the bikes I was on at the time, no.

Ah, well, IIRC it was more the manner in which you overtook
which was questioned rather than simply the act of overtaking.
I actually overtook this sorry sad excuse for a biker on a straight:

    There, to be exact.

I don't shout at anyone on the roads, no point. I sometimes smile and
    wave though.

all the time. The thing that annoys me most (when I'm in the car) is
seeing bikes just queueing up in traffic, rather than filtering up to
the traffic lights - it makes my blood boil - I mean, why *have* a
fucking bike, if you're going to act like you're in a car?

Sometimes it was just the fun of looking back and seeing two lines of
mirrors all newly set to my exact pannier width.

  9. I know what that means.

fx: Wags finger at naughty boys.

I think a few Sunday drivers got a bit of a shock when a diesel
Discovery and trailer went sailing / bouncing past them on the way
    home from Aylesbury.
I Know Leighton be Buggered isn't the greatest place in the world, but
why have they shut 2 main roads that lead to it _at the same time_?
Not only that, but ther are no posted diversions either. I know the
way around, but there were clueless cars wandering lost throughout
west Beds and east Bucks all day.

I'm thinking in particular of the stretch of the A10 between the North
Circular and the M25 - it's a very wide 2/3 lane piece of road - even
on my fully-panniered-up R1150GS, I could filter at will - but almost
every weekend when I'm popping up to Sainos in the car, you'll see
someone on a sports bike sitting 10-15 cars back from each set of
    traffic lights.

    Gaaarghh!

  11. What pisses me off is when you get someone going to the lights but won't
pull forward or over enough to let me get to the front as well, leaving
me stuck behind them when the lights change.

that's annoying, yes, but not quite as annoying as someone filtering in
front of you much slower than you'd like to go, but not letting your
    past.

  16. If I've had a prolonged spell of motorway work I find the speed
differential takes a bit of getting used to when I get back. Granted, it
doesn't take long but I'll sit behind a couple of cars at the lights for
a couple of phases until I get used to the gaps again.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I'm hoping to be out
and about one the bike this weekend for the first time in ages.
So if you see a green 9R being slowly/badly/incompetently ridden
around NW Middlesex/Herts/Bucks this weekend, feel free to shout.
