A Yam FJ1200, don't they feel tiny / low? Well impressed with the
potential comfy factor, although I haven't ridden one yet.

Excellent choice. I don't know about tiny? or low? They weight in at
275KG, and I dropped mine last year because I couldn't reach the ground
    - and I'm over 6ft.

Very comfy though, and actually surprisingly easy to fling through the
    Geordie land traffic too.

I've done about 18k on mine, and in the last 14 months I've done no more
than a few oil changes, and a couple of new tyres. The first few months
were a bit pricy, but I seemed to have got to a milestone mileage as far
as wear and tear goes - about 40k at that time.

    Details DETAILS MAN!

Built for fast mile munching in comfort. Did 30k on mine without a hiccup.

Not got one yet,, rather thinking of getting shot of my B6 for something
    a bit bigger like an FJ1200 , XJ900, ZX9R. Had a good close look at a
friends FJ1200, and liked it a lot. Seems to be just the sort of thing I
didn't know I was looking for until I stumbled upon it.

    That's another option, along with a ZX9R.

How can you *seriously* rank a 9r alongside an XJ900 and an FJ1200?

    It really beggars belief.

Bollocks. Overpriced, still not as quick despite what the makers claim,
dubious linked brakes, overly tall seat and uncomfy riding position for
    shorties. ZZRs rock.

You gave a list of bikes thus:

" rather thinking of getting shot of my B6 for something
    a bit bigger like an FJ1200 , XJ900, ZX9R."

Looks pretty much like ranking a 9r alongside the other two.

Regarding working you out; I wouldn't presume to try. You're probably
just one of Eaton's frogs anyway. Or Des.
