eek, just outside of the 10 year old criteria :-(
1995 Peugot 405 GTX, gratis from my faither however within 2 days
required substantial amounts of cash for; exhaust pipework, suspension
bushes, tyres, CV boots with relevant spannering to fit all for MOT.

The old man was chortling away to himself as he watched me repair the
beast in february temperatures in the drive. It now lasts a couple of
months before some other ridiculously expensive tiny little part wears
out (idle stepper motor = £80), however it is a very nice car to drive
    and very comfy and reliable(ish).

Low self esteem if they feel the need to tell everyone I'd suspect. Of
course some people like nice things for their sake but don't make it the
    sole topic of their conversations.

And I think I can claim it's a matter of some personal regret that
whilst I aspire to my sig, I'll fade out like the spineless, dickless
piece of shit that I am.

You might like this - or not.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely
in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid inbroadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "What a
    Ride!

Good point, it's about 7 years since I wrote any code; and then I didn't
write much. I'm in the process of moving office into a new role and the
new role is in swanky new offices with a "no clutter" policy. I've
chucked out about 7 years worth of crap- two filing cabinets, plus two
sets of desk drawers, one large bookcase and one large desktop... Mind
you, a car full of old documents and log books has come home.

During this process I found printouts of code I'd written together with
disks. I scanned these for about 15 minutes and came to the conclusion
that I've forgotten almost as much as I ever knew.

Do they do that sort of thing over in rec cars? Lists I mean.

I think it is a bit like patches. Lists that is.

Definitely a biker thing. Patches I am talking about.

If ever TOG gets it together with the marketing and starts flogging
French Run badges then, if I go on another one, I might be tempted to
buy one and stick it on me jacket. Hein Gericke of course.
