Yes, but this list is specifically about cars. This newsgroup is
specifically about motorbikes. People who have motorbikes have other
things to talk about, and they will be varied. However, to introduce a
sig list is a completely different matter. Do you not see that?
Because it's not about this thread, it's about the principle.

Why don't you take this list to uk.rec.cars?

Because the uk.rec.cars groups aren't as sad as UKRM and don't do lists.

You asked why I don't just kill this thread. If UKRM is "so sad", why
    don't you unsubscribe?

Or, if that's a bit drastic, take this stupid car-based list to email.

I've got a car sterio for sale. It's a Kenwood Mask one, in wooden trim.
Very nice sterio it is too for playing tapes, but can have a cd player
plugged into it. 4 volt pre outs for an amp too, if needed.

    I couldn't care less.
You too are missing the point. I don't object to OT. I object to a
car-based sig list in a motorcycle newsgroup. I mean, what *is* the point?

The APOSTLE list was about consumption:

    http://www.google.com/groups?selm=aeqk41$94tsq$&oe=UTF-8&output=gplain

    Specifically:

"An Apostle# will be awarded to those who demonstrate conspicuous consumption
and a rather "**** the planet" approach by having 12 wheels! .... in fact
the more gas guzzling the better."
