  3. Dat's de one. Typical of Rover to drop something good. The Pug diesels
are just as good, but I suppose there was deal struck.

**** that... I'm not adding one of those to my collection of SOCs (which
currently stands at just one VW Golf <g>).

    This is a bike newsgroup.

A bit of car banter is fine, but a sig list is not really in the spirit.

It's not about being miserable, it's about being appropriate. Can't you
have this list in uk.rec.cars ?

Agreed. Whilst I am obviously contributing to the thread, I won't be
acknowledging the number I have been awarded in my .sig. I don't think
it's appropriate for a bike ng.

Hasn't it already been decided that just about everything is appropriate
to UKRM? - if you're going to get picky about this, then why not about
all the other off-topic stuff, then?

IMHO, however, it is appropriate, as the decision to have a SOC is often
influenced by the decision to spend our spare cash on bikes and related
    items.

  15. They'd be unusual. It's perfectly possible to pick up a legal and
roadworthy snotter for much, much less.

Because a car is specifically not a motorbike. Very much not.
Bollocks. You're just justifying this idiotic list. You're like Des -
posting a load of bollocks no-one cares about in a pathetic bid for
    attention.

90-odd percent of traffic on UKRM is a load of bollocks no-one cares
about - which is what makes UKRM what it is.

If you don't like it, why not just kill this thread?

  18. You can pay what you want for one - some ex-Owners Club ones have had a
lot done to them and the prices reflect this. There are plenty around
which have been through a few hands and deteriorated a bit but are still
    sound enough (and cheap).

Utter bollocks. Maybe you can't afford both - others can. That doesn't
    justify your list.
