  2. Nissan Micra 1.2, F plate 1989? cost was £0 but £250 to get road legal
as 1st car for my eldest. Who subsequently bought a much better
    looking Micra for £30 ;-)
Go on then, I may even take a picture so it can be seen in it's gaffa
    taped glory.

I've never imagined stabbing you quite so violently before as when I read
    this.

I think I even strained my forearm.

stabby stabby. More rewarding than grinding your teeth in an irritated
    manner. Probably healthier too.

Can I interest Sir in the bread knife? Very popular at this time of
    year.

Or the plasterboard saw? Look at those serrations! Just imagine the
damage you could inflict with one of those.

Or perhaps Sir would like the letteropener? Very discreet.

  8. I'm told axes are considered a suitable variation on this theme.

Of for the more personalised touch of a finger by finger dissections
    then secaturs are very popular.

Fantastic, I love Scimitars and have done since I was a little kid, but I've
    never driven one.

Can I take it from your UKRMMA# that you're some distance from me?

  14. Afaik, Perkins took the old 'O' series Maxi lump and dieselised it.
They turned out a nice engine that was capable of doing 250,000 miles
without breaking and which withstood a lot of abuse.

Again, checked with Parkers and they say it's a Pug lump.

The old Montego / Maestro lump was, however, a Perkins O-series.

There's several of us take pride in running shite old cars on a
shoestring, preferring to spend the real money on bikes. Having
consulted at least one other member of UKRM, it was deemed to be a sound
    idea.

    Seems several others have agreed.

You're just jealous, 'cos you can't join in ;-)
