I planned a bit of an evening out last night, with friends, in Thornbury.

Having left home, gone to Preston [1] to pick up some bike bits,
continued to Lytham for a cup of tea, dropped off a wheelchair in
Blackpool, popped into the outlaws in Stone to drop off some shoes and
pottered back home again, I had a little sit down in my favourite
armchair to ready myself for the evening ahead.

    When I woke up...

    [1] no the other one

You're going to struggle to play "duelling banjos" with those fingers.

Heh. I used to be able to play the first bar-and-an-eighth of Beethoven's
fourth piano concerto. It gets harder when you have to play another
    chord.

Actually, the first bar of the third isn't too bad either, once you've
    mastered a C minor scale.

I had to have a little snooze this afternoon after spending an evening
out last night, with friends, in Thornbury.

Glorious ride there and back too. Trimmed a full hour off the Tomtom's
prediction each way, on the "avoid motorways" route.

That's twice in two days I've been linked with banjos. Think I'll have
    to get one now.
