Well done, what was your time?

    I've got this:

    http://jpmorganchasecc.com/events.php?city_id=10

during the forthcoming week. Am hoping to beat three of my team that
I've cajoled to enter... Probably won't though they're all younger and
    fitter than I.

37 mins. 10 mins slower than I've done in training but the heat was
    something I'm not used to.
Heh, you say that but there were many young spunkers who flew off at
the start only the fade at the 2km mark. Hare / tortoise thingy.

I've noticed this, running in an air-conditioned Gym is a lot easier
than running outside in the heat.

I did about 3-3.5k around mid-day today (outside, in fields), it was a
lot harder than doing 8 in the Gym.

Well, I agree to *some* extent. I've ran with two out of three and I'm
pretty certain I can beat one of the two I've run with.

Of course, now they've had their annual reviews from their line managers
they probably don't have the motivation to lose that they once had...

SWMBO and I did the Bay to Breakers this year. We gave up at 4 miles and
went to have breakfast in the Haight (The Pork Store). It was fun to
    witness the 'event' first hand.

I've already pledged...its how I pay the amount I've said. nothing on
that page is obvious. it could be that they've already taken the money
or will take it automagically now he's done it.

Treadmill running is so different to road running. I was really
surprised. I was chatting with a chap on the way round and we both
agreed that aircon, music, TV and totty to look at was a much better
    way to run.
    Use the treachery thing.

bad form and all that..the help page for those being sponsored
includes a what's the difference between a pledge and donation..

"The ‘pay on completion’ option is a pledge. Although the donor enters
the full details of their debit or credit card, the payment is not
processed until after the participant’s event is completed – usually
    two weeks after the event."

    so it'll go out automagically.

    Cool.
Only trouble is that since I did the pledge thingy I've had a new debit card
so it will probably bounce the transaction.

Any idea what happens in this situation?

If I need to , I'll drop a cheque in the post
