I survived Gold Coast Bike Week Trip

Well thats the first bike week I have ever been to and it was disappointing.
Why no jap bike stands ? BMW stands ?

The Dri rider jacket did an excellent job with a bit of moisture around on
the trip back. The weather was great for most of the time.

Now this is what you call a in depth trip report

 

So how did the tyres perform? You were concerned about them as I
recall

 

Eh? I thought that removing centrestands from motorcycles was a
backward step, but have they started removing sidestands as well now?!

Should have went with the softer Sports but you learn. Basically it was
pretty straight Roads mostly so doing 280kph didnt chew them up but they
still didnt me that confidence when cornering.

 

I agree about centrestands......to check my oil I have to remove the seat ,
put it on the centrestand and after idling for 60 secs ( and this after a
long ride ) check the oil . Now all I have to do is find the
centrestand.................
