I suppose I shouldn't laugh, but...

    ....I did find it amusing in the meeting I've just been in when a
    German colleague came out with the line:

    "I do not approve of ze tactical approach - we must find a Final
    Solution to this problem".

    Ha.

    Only last week we sent a presentation to our Bavarian customer with a
    network architecture diagram, over 2 slides: one the short term workaround,
    and the other the final solution. Nobody seemed to mind, if that helps

    starts talking about final solution made me feel like I was on the set

    No. The temptation to keep doing it is almost irresistible, though.
    Tempered by the fact that we have a jewish guy in the office, mind.

    Some of them are completely cool with a bit of ribbing about the war;
    a german guy who used to work for me had "don't mention the war!" in
    his .sig.
