I -still- want one of these.

I find them very wearing on the wrists after not that many miles, if I am
    honest.

Not exactly a good one for making sure plod aren't creeping up behind,
either, given how much the mirrors vibrate when you're on the move.

How many miles is it to the Elefant Rally, exactly? ;-)

  2. I think it was finger trouble. I decided not to post, but
must have hit Y by habit as I backed out.

  5. You didn't see me "testing" your Dad's 250 before I bought it, did you?

No... although it's a given that when in Thanet, the best policy is to drive
/ ride like the locals, as in 'drive it like you stole it'.

Heh. When you checked out that CB450 for me, the seller was complaining
about your chosen test method afterwards :).

    Wotcha.
    Aye.
The bike I'm currently building {1}uses the following original parts:
    Rear wheel hub.
    Toolbox.
    One engine plate.

Everything else, and I mean *everything* is either new, re-made, or from
    some other machine.
So far, it's taken me about two years, and I reckon I've sunk the best part
of six grand into it. Is it worth it ?
    As a bike . . . NO.
As something I enjoy doing, and something that will give me great pleasure
    every time I ride it . . . YES.

{1} BSA, alternator B33 - with long throw crank, disc front end, hole for
pouring money into, big valves, ported head, device for destroying cash,
etc, etc. . . . . There will be pics when the whole plot is finished.

Indeed. I think his words were something along the lines of "... and

I remember we set off in the dark, and arrived at the other end in the dark,
and it didn't get very bright all day.

Really? I thought it was the total mileage.

    <feeling of impending doom>

    How far in total, then?
