I sometimes wish that people could tell left and right apart

The continuation of the black bomber saga, of course.

I ordered a bunch of parts from Dave Silver, amongst others the
(missing) airfilters. Trouble was, they could only supply me with a
rhs one as lhs are as common as hen's teeth. So I take the rhs one and
warm up google to find me a lhs one. At least I had the part number.

Amongst those that I found - all four of them - the one physically
closest was in Switzerland. Got in touch by email, yes, they still
have some. Phoned up, gave them my credit card number (after they'd
already sent out the filter! Trusting people, these) and the old
geezer on the other end of the line tells me that I've just bought
.... wait for it ... another RHS filter. Nothing I or he can do about
it as it's already on the way. Arse.

So duly, some money is paypaled to the US for two lhs filters - makes
two pairs. No worries, they're even a bit cheaper than the one filter
that's on its way from Switzerland.

This morning the postie drops a parcel from Switzerland on the
doorstep. Rattling about inside, a Honda box with a filter inside.

A LHS one. The writing on the box says 'rhs from rear wheel', another
note on the box says 'RHS', the part number is for a LHS one and the
    filter of course, is LHS.

Well, provided the other two from the US will arrive, I won't be
running out of LHS air filters for a long, long time.

to sit on a bike first and then state left or right.
What happened to nearside and offside?

Oh dear that depends what side of the road you drive on :)

  5. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember Timo Geusch
Which is the correct way of designating it - standing at the rear of the
vehicle (any vehicle) and facing forward. Unless they meant facing back,
    of course.
It had to be, didn't it?
