I shouldn't be surprised

But it's still fucking annoying when the "changes to existing
policies" gets you on hold for 20 minutes, but the "new quotes" gets
    answered immediately.

And the stupid thing is, I want to add another rider, so I know it'll
end up being a new quote. Fuckers will lose the policy at this rate.

I renewed my bike policy today, took about 3 minutes. One of the
benefits of using a small broker I guess. Originally recommended by

I'll see how long I'll be on hold tomorrow. I guess they were busy
this afternoon with people wanting to insure their bikes for tomorrow
as it's going to be a nice weekend.

I'm quite happy with the policy and the premium, but I want to add my
brother to the policy as a rider. He's going to use my Bandit for the
TT and it's looking like adding him to my fully comp policy will be
cheaper than him taking out a short term policy for the period of the
    TT.

  4. I finally got rid of the Diversion yesterday as it failed its MOT with
about £500 of work and enough advisories to sink a battleship; it was
    going to get very expensive.

So got one of those new XJ6 Diversion thingys and rang Auntie to swap it
over. By the time I had selected 1 for policy changes I was talking to
a real person (and a fellow northerner too!)

Upgraded the bike to a 10 year younger one and all they wanted was the
£30 changeover fee; premium stays the same. I thought that was a
    result.

Either that, or they were taking the piss with your previous policy.

  6. I didn't consider £89 to be taking the piss.

So who were they again? :)

Mine's due at the end of this month according to a test I got this morning.
time to hit the web and do some comparing I reckon.

    A possibility, but only that.

I've been with Swinton for the last 4 years and they've been good on price,
good on service and generally pretty good on the phone. If they're good in
bed, they're in with a good chance :)
