I see the courier industry hasn't changed then

  1. Just picked up a copy of the Rider's Digest and my old place was
    advertising.

    "Major new contracts" <smirk>
    "New and Improved rates" <guffaw>
    "Bonuses or guarantees" <yeah, whatever>
"Flexible shift patterns" - This bit got me interested

I phoned 'em and asked about hiring a bike (CG125) and doing a three day
    week.

"You can't do that", he says. "It won't pay"

Huh? So if I hire a CG for £80 a week and three days won't pay then it
looks like they're as full of shit as they ever were.

    Rant over :)

Not since I left. At the risk of sounding like our resident dogger,
Graham pays his riders around £250 a week less than his nearest rival. I
have the time sheets to prove it.

Go back there? I'd rather shove wasps up my arse.

It's a rag dedicated to the London rider. Used to be a good way to pass
    a few minutes between jobs.

Might just break the 80 quid a week barrier too.

Riding the CG afer would be a scream. ...
