    It's only gone and passed.

    Woo-hoo!

    I don't know, and frankly, I don't care.

    Good oh.

Err... A three legged table doesn't rock.

Indeed not. It wobbles mightily, once, and then hits the deck hard.
The analogy is more suited to a V-Max.

That would depend on the placement of the legs, surely?

Bugger, I was going to say that. Why don't you just come out and call
    him a TC?

No. A three-legged table would pretty much either be stable or fall
    over. It wouldn't rock.

Because the phrase was used as a metaphor not a specification.

More like a furniture making thread.
Actually , unsurprisingly for UKRM, a pedantic or semantics thread.

Did anyone really not read Dodger's original post as meaning a table
orginally meant to have four legs, but now only supported by three?

No wonder Mensa is called Mensa.

I know, it is a joke on IT customers not realizing they need to be precise
and realistic when they express their requirements.
However, yesterday Lozzo wrote "semetic" and there was a 0% response
compared to what I got with my semitic/semite swap :)

Take a normal table, cut a leg off ... rocks easy.

    IIRC it's Latin for table.

Sometimes I'm sure you must put the stupidity on. Other times I'm not
    so sure.
