  1. I'm seriously considering buying an Apple MacBook Pro - largely cos it
gives you the best of both worlds now that Apple support it
    dual-booting into XP..

Anyone got one? Good points, bad points[1]?

    Phil.

[1] Other than the cost of course.. £1800 for the top-spec lappy..

Just buy one. You won't regret it.

  3. I'm attracted by the fact that you can dual boot and that OS-X is unix
(well FreeBSD anyway) based but with a proper front-end.

I assume that you can run stuff like gcc for FreeBSD on it?

  4. Like you set up the group access for project directories and when someone
uses the GUI it blows them all away. I was well impressed not.

I've **** all to say about this apart from 'thank you'.

I had a lively discussion last weekend about Apple's strategy within the
'business strategy' course I'm doing; the general opinion was that
bootcamp would diminish Apple's brand whereas I maitained that it would
extend their market from the traditional 'anti-corporate' types to
include other people with more money than sense.

    I knew I was right.

Like I'd be pretentious enough to use a mac.

Not for all the half-caf soy latte mochaccino in the world, I can tell
    you.
