She's just been nicked for 100mph on the A11 dual-carriageway just
outside Wymondham in Norfolk. At the time she was undertaking a slow
moving car that she'd approached a bit too quickly. Apparently the
traffic car that stopped her had been following her for some distance
and she hadn't noticed it. Unluckily for her a cute smile and a bit of
charm didn't work because the copper who nicked her was female too.

    I suppose she's looking at a ban.

  2. Gutted. did the copper note the speed on the NIP, or, just "Excess on
    the motorway"?

She got a producer ticket with the speed noted on it, they said she'd be
reported for the speeding offence. Why they couldn't have called it
99mph and saved her the possibility of a ban I will never know.

Because it was a cat fight. Women are surprisingly nasty to each other.

  5. Well because she is obviously a wreckless dangerous criminal who must be
punished. Or maybe the copper didn't get laid recently.

It's actually 26mph over the limit for a potential ban - she'd have had to
have knocked the speed down by a fair bit (well, for 5mph values of 'fair').

  8. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Lozzo belched forth and ejected the following:
    Tough shit.

Being female is no excuse for getting away with something you'd get
nicked for if you were a bloke.

IIRC, it was 97. When I got done on the M5 about 5 years back it was
    explained as:

71-85: Can't be bothered, too many people.
    86-96: 3 point FPN
    Then *approximately*
    97: 4 points
    98: 5 points
    99: 6 points
100+ Kiss your licence goodbye for a bit.

I was pulled doing 97.6 mph, so could have expected to get 4 points. I
pleaded student poverty in the magistrates court, grovelled and told them
I'd seen the erro of my ways, booked myself onto an advanced riding course
etc etc. In the end I got 5 points, but only £110 fine, which I thought was
    a bit of a result.

Quite possibly for the 100mph they have recorded , and the magistrates won't
    like the undertake as well.

It happens that Lozzo formulated :
Oh how sad for the poor girl.
I might have a CG125 for sale soon if she would like something less
powerful assuming she don't get a ban.
Then again maybe she should have gone to Specsavers

Eh? dunno where you get that from, but it always used to be that
courts were advised to consider a ban for +30mph over the limit. And
it's not automatic, as I and others who've 'got away' with 100+ can
    testify.
