I need to stay away from the auctions

  1. I'm heading down, but not to marshall... in fact, I don't know if I'll
even go to the track. I need a laying-down, not-doing-much-of-anything
    holiday.

  2. You sure you aren't thinking of the Honda HISS system?

  4. Well I've just googled for Suzuki security and can see absolutely
nothing about it. So just checking.

It's more than a spook story but less than the truth.
Oh believe me, if you don't have the bike pre-delivered at an authorized
dealer they'll claim that. And sure... you'll no doubt (eventually) win
if you go through all the hassle (which will probably include court).

So yeah, the law is on your side... but no the dealer won't be.

Is it really worth all that to save a few hundred dollars?

Sure, you go into the post office and say that you want a $872.05
stamp. They press a couple of buttons and, voila, it comes out of the
little printer. They've been doing that since 1964.

That's not what I meant, and I reckon you know that's not what
    I meant! :)

Actually, I went to the post office the other day and said to the
bloke "I want actual stamps for this one please, not one of those
printed thingamies", and he was all "No worries" and whipped out
his Big Book of Stamps (tm) and proceeded to dole out actual stamps
in varying demoniations to the actual amount. I was quite impressed.
They took up a fair bit of real-estate on the box though.

I'd argue that you'd have bought $872.05 of postage but not an $872.05
    stamp.
I'm guessing that a stamp has more official stampiness and can be used as
legal tender and other hard-to-imagine qualifications......

[thinks] It'd probably hold the throttle OK... but it'd be "single use
    only".

I've heard that you can use stamps to diagnose whether erection problems are
    physical or psychological.
Apparently blokes with psychological impotence still pack-rigid while
they're dreaming so you wrap a line of stamps around the dude and if the
stamps have separated on the morning it's "all in your head"!
A different kind of "post" but I dunno if you'd wanna' lick them afterwards
    .......
