.... screen on my Vetter fairing that is.

Anyone know where I can get a taller than standard screen, or an
extension for the existing one? The fairing's a Windjammer SS.

It's either that or have four vertebrae removed to get my head out of
    the wind.

You could try riding with your mouth closed.

    I like 'em.

And they have utterly amazing low-speed balance and "trickleability" -
must be that subterranean C of G. 1mph feet-up crawls are a doddle.

and at the other end of the scale, if Nigel fancies a challenge; one
    lapped the IOM @ >90mph.

    [Goldwing GL1000K2s]
is that one as in a single example of the species or one as in "you"
    (talking posh like)?

  8. Not that Dresda-framed thing? I can't imagine a stock 1000 Wing doing
    it.

I don't think I could do "posh" and get away with it, tbh.

Anyway, my only timed lap of the IOM was 47 minutes, but that was
    two-up, obeying the 30 limits, on a Z750E with a bent frame.

I don't *think* so. I'll dig up the reference from somewhere.

The GL1000 was the second fastest bike over a standing quarter when it
was released, remember. After the Z1.

Indeed. But top speed in the original roadtest (I have it!) was just
    122mph.

    And as for handling......

Tell you what - if anyone did manage to lap the Island at 90+ on a stock
1000 Wing - he's got way bigger balls than I've got.
    Hoh yuss.
