My ones want doing on the FZR, I'm going to invest in some bathroom
    sillicon sealer instead.

I think I'll be joining you. It came to £150 something quid for all four,
my mind had become numb by that point so I didn't quite hear clearly or care
    much.

Ouch. I remember replacing the ones on my GT750, and those worked out
at about ukp60-70 for a set of four - and I thought *that* was
    expensive.

I've just stuck a set of perfect 400 Four rubbers on Fleabay. I shall
    watch their progress with interest.

So it was the gasket and manifold that were gubbed then?

It might be. I shall explain. To get to the camchain tensioner to strip,
clean and lube the carbs will need to come off. The manifold rubbers look
so badly perished that with all the wiggling and jiggling that will be
required I am convinced one will fail. (If it hasn't already). So I was
kind of doing a pre-emptive order.

Thanks Beav, I shall chuck an e-mail their way. Their website still loooks
    a bit unfinished.

    They don't do inlet rubbers.

You're right about their diaphragms, though - I've used them. Excellent
    product, well priced, fast turnaround.
