    For some reason I really like that style/look. They
    had one at the Ducati factory that was being restored
    for the museum when I was there last year and I just
    thought I'd really like to own one of those.

    Quite true. The missus said that I could only have it
    if I sorted out the extension (to the house, not me)
    by Christmas.

    At least she's got no excuse not to let me have a

    You're not getting old (well, I suppose getting older as the stream of time
    flows on). You're probably just nostalgic - like I am for DT 175MXs.

    If you were moving into 'old' you would have bid loads of money and got the
    bike - so long as you aren't spending all your spare cash you are assuming
    that you have years to go yet and something better may come along - thus not
    yet old.
