Every time I get on the bike, it pisses down.

So tell me, how does "winter" know when I am riding my bike?

I think not. I prefer to believe that I have powers that I never dreampt of.

    Au contraire. :p

I was just saying this morning how my faster my cornering was in the warm
rain than in the icy cold. And it carried on pissing down.

    Nope. I have Special Powers.

I suggest you take up an honourable career in the drier half of Ethiopia.

    Bayeux...

It utterly, utterly pisses down on pretty much every TOG trip.

Not the last one I was on. The guys on the earlier ferry got pissed
on, but for the righteous (i.e me) the rain stopped and we were bathed
    in glorious sunshine.

I *was* on the earlier ferry. Pissed it down from home to Dover
and half the ride from Calais to St. Quentin. And it was fucking
    blowing a gale too.

It was f*cking horrible gale force winds, lightning, really vile.

*waves* At the time I thought the wind and rain was a bit bothersome, but
actually it was quite fun... I had more trouble from the women in the
    sodding petrol station.

Very enjoyable trip that one [1] and the Ginge Comedy Car Act was also most
    memorable.

[1] possibly because I was , pretty much, able to keep vaguely up ;-)

  17. I wonder if we get a repeat performance or is a new act needed next
    time.

In UKRM tradition, I shall hold the accolade until someone upstages me
    by doing something more spectacular.

  19. It was a bit damp getting to Dover late, but it was lovely on the other
side - a touch breezy, mind. I enjoyed watching Dodger in the mirrors,
trying to avoid getting his knee down in a straight line.

Then it was all lovely weather for the rest of the weekend.

The last one, to Villedieu, was a bit dank and foggy first thing, but became
progressively more summery the further south I went. And stayed like that
almost until the end of November...

Can't wait for the next one.
