    Only cause it was seen as a skive - get out of the school gates and then
    just wander round and then a quick jog round the school field at the
    end.

    I was great at getting out of sports. Only things I like were swimming
    and badminton. All that rough football and rugby were for the others!

    I didn't have that problem - at least not after I got detention for
    thumping the class bully in biology.

    For some reason I was kept well at arms length after that.

    I was OK until my eldest brother[1] moved away from the area - after he
    broke several teeth of one of the bullies by whacking him hard on the
    top of his head[2]..

    [1] 5 years older then me, very strong. And the only one of my brothers
    to *actually* help me with the bullying problem. The other two couldn't
    be bothered.
    [2] Headmaster asked him to apologise. After telling that
    (unofficially) he was glad that someone had shown the bully the error
    of his ways.
