    No more motorbikes [1].

    I'm to make a will [2].

[1] This has been negotiated to "except the ones I already have" [3] and
    "for the time being".
[2] I've meaning to do this for a while.
[3] Just as well I've got a good stock in.

A lifetime as a union negotiator hasn't been in vain, then?
What is the current stable? Aren't you nearly out of old MZ's?

MZs have been reduced - I'm down to an ES Trophy, an ETZ 125 to broken,
an ETZ 300 to be broken and a TS 250 Supa 5 probably to be broken.

Then there's the XS 400, 750 Turbo (waiting engine drop) and the Guzzi.

The Dnepr is waiting the 3" brush of doom and cheap paint; that and a new
cylinder head and some frame 'adjustment'.

Look dude, I know you want to be a hero and all that but give in to the
pain and stay off your feet. Even more important don't go doing the "I
am ok and to prove it I will stir me own tea trick." FFS if she sees a
smattering of independence in you she will have your assets tied down a
bit more than just making wills and stuff.

Is the Baby Austin in the background anything to do with you / your
mates? It would fit in with the old and ancient vehicle tendency you
    display.

I guess it's one of those things you keep putting off because you think
it will be okay for now, like changing smoke alarm batteries.

I finally got round to making a will two years ago, along with an
enduring power of attorney. I should probably retract the latter at
    some point.

  15. Aha I thought it might be. My mum's mum had a black one. Funny little
things complete with dash mounted indicator switch.

That one was a 4 door, the rear doors were like something from a dolls
    house.

I liked the windows, no winders they just went up and down with a small
glass handle on the inside. Fly off hand brake, rod operated rear drums,
the nifty bonnet latch (you pulled the flying A towards you), fucking
    tiny bonnet....

I was stopped for not wearing a seat belt, no great shock as it didn't
have any, it also transpired it didn't have an MOT... I got a stern
letter from Sussex Police asking if I'd make sure it had one in the
    future.

You've got shitloads of old crap that you need to shift anyway. There's
such a thing as making a virtue out of a necessity:

    <choking back tears> "I've just sold my XS400."
    <ineffably tragic> "The MZ's gone."
    <stunned with grief> "The MZ's gone."
    <martyred> "The MZ's gone."
    <ad nauseum> "The MZ's gone."
    "The Turbo..." <sob>

Ebay a wreck every three of four weeks, keep sneaking new beerlooms into the
shed, and you can keep it going for years...
