The plan is to either flog it now(ish), or break it, when the MOT runs
    out in July.

The TS250 will go down the same route, probably sooner.

It's done 127 miles in three years. I just don't trust it to get
    anywhere without "something else" failing.
About an hour a mile wouldn't be far of the mark.
Only 4 years, but it hasn't moved for 2 and a half.

They're both just garage ornaments, at the mo.

All proceeds will go towards a new "toy" bike.

The heart says 750 H2, the head says CBX1000.

Either way, it'll be a good 'un, not a "project".

I borrowed a 1991 one the other weekend from my bruv-in-law. It was OK
for someone who didn't want too much power but decent handling and
brakes. I outrode about 30 other riders on a mixed ability ride-out
round Beds, Northants and Cambs on it, so it wasn't all that bad. I had
to thrash the tits off it to make it move fast enough though, so it
became quite tiring after a while.

    I wouldn't say I liked it, but I didn't dislike it, IYSWIM.

Technically restricted but seriously thinking about doing the test on
a 500 as I will not last another year.

Yes, yes, I know you told me but at the time I wasn't confident enough
    to do DAS.

Oh sure, they're very competent. But there's no one loves a CBR, and
I doubt many owners even regard them with affection.

I've picked up some bad habits.
Um, there isn't any more oomph to be had. [1] Hence the need for a
bigger bike. I'm spending a lot of time in the red zone. I've got the
print out of the dyno Claire had done somewhere, it's about 55 to 60
    iirc.

[1] The little pin thing fell out. All on its own. Honest.

    Bear says...
Not HOC, another lot from all over Britain on all manner of stuff from
    SV650s to ZX-10s and RSV-Rs etc

I wasn't being passed because I was marking corners a lot and then
going like **** to get to the front again so I could mark the next one.
It was great fun. I led one section of about 50 miles of roads that I
know like the back of my hand, and all that stayed with me was a bloke
on a Gixer thou, we lost the ZX-10 pilot after about 10 miles when we
came to a very bumpy bit.

When we got to Biggleswade we had to do a short stretch of the A1 to
the A507 Baldock roundabout. I'd assembled a few on the outskirts of
B/wade to guide the rest through the town roundabouts and junctions and
then went at the 30 speed limit out to the A1. By the time I'd filtered
down the 7 or so miles of A1 to Baldock I'd lost them all except a girl
on a Falco who commutes daily through Leicester, so she marked that
junction. I went down the slip road and spent 2 or 3 minutes doing
knee-down laps of the big roundabout while they caught up, then we went
    on our way again.

At the end of the ride-out a bloke on a 748SPS was being ribbed to ****
because he obviously had trouble trying to keep up with me. He got it
even worse when I explained that the CBR has a dodgy coil that holds
the engine back when it gets hot. I couldn't normally get more then 125
from it, but did manage once to crack 140 on the clock and I demolished
the inch wide chicken strips my b-i-l had left on the squared off rear
BT020. It was quite good fun really, but I wasn't all that impresed
with the bike. I found it typically Honda....bland.
