he did the class act...played the perfect team-mate...and waited for
the possibility that vale would come up thru the bunch...i think that
makes amends for his brainless "torpedo" incident.

that said, nicky should still watch his back when it comes to
    "team-mate" pedrosa in the future.

Yup, Dani's a good sport. I really thought Hayden should have thanked him
    in the post race interview.

Pedrosa doesn't owe Hayden anything. He sure as hell doesn't need to help
Hayden defend his title. Estoril was an accident, and the first time he
ever took out someone else. I don't think Pedrosa would ever take Hayden
out on purpose. Now Pedrosa can go into '07 and try to take the
championship from Hayden. May the best man win.

I'm not so sure he's such a good sport...yet. But I do think he did
an excellent job as teammate during the race. By holding position 7
seconds back he gave Nicky the comfort of knowing he need not worry.
If he had inched closer and closer over the race Nicky would have
known not to worry about Dani but he wouldn't have known if there was
    anyone directly behind Dani.

I too think he should have given Dani a nod after the race. Perhaps
after seeing the race on tape he will. Giving a public thanks would
go a long way toward getting the press off their back about some
non-existent (or barely existent) intersquad dissention.

Pedrosa's post race comments were more ice cold than usual. Seemingly asked
if Hayden had talked to him, he said somthing like "not really. i hope he
enjoys it." and that was that. I think 07 will be even more competitive
    between the 2.
