Just got back from the MOT test on my old Guzzi trike. Straight through
again. I just love simple, reliable technology that doesn't have to meet any
poxy Euro noise regulations..That's 241,000miles on the old beast now.
Better put another 6-8k on it this year again then.
    A happy bunny is I.

It's more of a grin with 14 (yes 14!) kids hanging off it, doing do'nuts in
full view of their parents at a rally!
Cost of donor bike (Guzzi 850/1000 or Z1100A/Z1000ST/Wing/Z1300 etc..)
    ~£1000-2000, plus axle/wheels/driveshaft ~£300-400, about £100 worth of
tube/box section, a couple of kit-car seats ~£50ish, and about 3-4 weeks of
evenings/weekends. I already had most of the stuff kicking about, even the
axle (Chevette). The 3qty BBS alloys I scrouged from a mate who killed on
wheel on his Golf and couldn't sell the 3 remaining.
All told, it probably cost me about £200 + my old Spada because I did all of
the design/fabrication/machining work myself. The worst biut was the
driveshaft. That was a *swine* as I wanted full suspension on the rear too.
Do it. You know you want to, but for Ged's ska use a bike as a donor, not a
car engine (these are truly best left out of sight under a bonnet).
I've just been asked to build a 3 seater based on a Z1100A this Autumn for a
mate who has also been hooked..
