Hmm I had the Fazer thou out for a day and was not impressed.
Expensive. The fairing offers little or no protection. The footpegs
are stupidly high. Monstrously uncomfortable saddle. Compromised
suspension. I came away knowing that you would get a FAR superior
machine just buying an R1 and a £200 top yoke conversion with maybe a
    decent seat conversion, no really.

OK so I decided on something even better, a Gixxer thou with a top
yoke conversion. I still have it BTW.

I wasn't hugely keen on the old fazer either, but the new one looks to
be far less of a bitzer, it appears like it's been designed to go head
to head witrh the likes of the tuono. Note the alloy frame and USD
    forks, for example.

Anyhow, too early to tell... First I'd want to ride one.

Not sure TBH although I reckon you could be right as the light does
seem to have a mind of it's own at times. There seems to be a
recurring theme here with electrics and my bloody bike.

Did you get the starting/fuse problem diagnosed yet?

A lot of (OK four) owners I know love them to bits but I agree that
the bike did miss a chance to be a great bike. Your comment about the
seat surprises me, I've never ridden one but it *looks* comfortable
    enough.

But up there ^^^ you bemoaned the 'detuned for torque' idea. IMO the
Fazer 600 was a better bike for it. Bags of midrange (for a 600) just
where you needed it and a hoot to ride on the edge.
    Steel vs Alloy.

Actually, I've just thought, mine was a 2000 model. Do the newer ones
have a larger tank? 18 litres rather than 16?

So did I but it wasn't. Turned out to be a poor pillion plot too. High
pegs, slidey seat and too high above the rider.

I want the power and torque of a litre sportsbike, I just don't need
    to do 180mph.

    Really, I want a naked GSXR1000.

    It works well!

TBH the tuned B12 is a bit like the Gixxer without the top speed in
    performance terms.

I want the power of a top fuel dragster, the torque of an electric
train, the cornering of a GP bike, the straight line handling of a chop,
the wind protection of a Goldwing, the weight of a cg125, a seat height
which is right and I want it in Black.

Neither do I really but you never know.

I don't think they have made the bike I want.

Well, there's the thing. I want a proper production bike, rather than
    a custom jobbie.

As it is, my mtb racing plans for next year are now starting to get
finalised[1] (ie, I've decided to go for it), so the GSXR will be
going early next year to finance that. I'll be doing that much
cycling in my spare time, I simply won't have time to ride it.

Knowing the history of yours, and the fact it's in the right colour,
drop me an e-mail and let me know how much you'd want for it.

It's red and silver, the most undesireable Gixer colours ever. You want
a nice white and blue one.
