    Bear says...
I'm always dead straight with folk, if they choose to buy then on their
own head be it. Bee knew exactly where my 9R had been before me and what
had happened to it in Dick's hands, same with the Thunderace buyer as
that had obviously been repainted. If anyone cares to dig about they'll
find out my Gixer's history, it's not exactly top secret and hidden from
the public. If they don't ask, I'm not about to volunteer the info
    though.

    I wonder what mine's worth[1]? I note from Biketrader that 03-ish
plate Tuono's seem to be around the 5k mark, so if mine is worth
4.5ish then it'd be an easy swop.

    [1] 02 plate, K1, 11k miles, HPI clean, mint.

<smiles> Lovely. I used to fall asleep on the back. Bit disconcerting
when you wake up to find your nose a few inches above the tarmac
though. All I did was twitch ever so slightly.

Actually compared to your average tank, the consumption on a GSX-R/ZX10 is
    probably quite good.

Err I think I get about 110 - 120 to a tank, on the Gixxer but it
    depends on how I'm riding.

You need to lose some weight, mate. I rarely get less than 130miles
before the light comes on. ~45mpg.

    Bloody cheek!

130 miles eh. I'm going to have another look. As I said ..'I think'
    I get that.

Come to think of it in France we all seemed to get about the same
range, didn't we. Hah, I'm not so fat now! ;-)

I'm also thinking about doing some exercise over the winter, ready for
    some quicker riding next year.

What kind of mileage are you seeing on the DL? Do you have crash bars on
    it?

How big is the tank? I get 130 miles on the SV before the light comes on.

No. We didn't. You were usually the first to need fuel, followed by
Champ. Typically you'd be putting 15 litres in on a normal fillup to
my 14l. Neil was somewhere in between.
Been dieting? I did mention at the time that I thought it was probably
down to your frontal area, particularly combined with your 'kitchen
    sink' approach to luggage.
Game on! Fancy a ski trip?

<Desperate excuse mode> Ye but... Sherly I would use more fuel
loitering at the back, trying to keep up.

Hmm..Nice offer though. I would give it a go, but I pretty thin on
the B.points ATM. Donington this weekend, 3 day on a conference next
week and in early November a boys tour to southern Spain on a *V.nice*
    motor yacht[1].

[1] Although it's the owners yacht the rest of the trip could be a
little expensive. i.e. it's not self catering!

You clearly need to lose even more weight than Mike.

But we knew that. When you getting a gixxer anyway?

I'm not sure I will now I've seen the new fazer thou is basically a
    150BHP R1, with proper bars.

Either way, I suspect it'll be after I sort out a new job.

How much does it take when the light's come on though? Could just be
set at a different level on the K5.
