I think that in std trim the gains to be made from the better
suspension on the E1 would give more benefits than the small
    difference in bhp.

I reckon that with the damaged plastics and the high mileage you
wouldn't get £3.5k. Change the plastics, get a new speedo with about
12k miles on it and rip someone off. It's the only way forward...

I thought the silver looked horrible when I looked at it on the
Kawasaki website but when I actually looked at one in a dealers I
liked it. It wasn't my first choice of colour but because no black
ones were available from local dealers it was either that or walk
    away.

You've obviously not actually been in a Kawasaki dealer and looked at
the latest range of colours because the green ones and the blue ones
    re-define the meaning of shit.

Jetted differently to suit the different exhaust and catalyst,
    obviously. Everybody knows that.

    Champ says...
Try finding a straight non-HPI Gixer thou that's legal for less than
4500 quid. A set of plastics will be about 500, so you're losing 500 for
the sake of the miles, that's quite a bit when no-one seems to mind the
    miles for the money.

Nah, you just want a brand new bike for 3 grand. It just won't happen.

Another thing to bear in mind is that I very rarely lose money on my
bikes when I sell them, I usually make a profit over the time I own them
and after putting a few thousand miles on the clock. I spend all day
every day in bike dealers as well listening to what dealers are telling
me about the state of the market and what sells, what doesn't. Who's
more qualified to say what bikes are really worth and what people will
    pay for them?

There were two in the window at Drayton Croft today (Hinckley), same
colour as Andy's. No idea on price [1] but they had the interest free
    credit tags hanging off them.

    [1] Shut on a bloody Sunday :eek:/

Are you saying Kawasaki call the colour of your bike silver or am I
    just getting confused here?

Doesn't matter. The 9R is an underpowered heap of shit whatever model
    you buy.

Well yes but no iyswim. It says silver on the log book but Kawasaki
were calling it titanium for a while. How the **** would I know, I
like it but Bear reckons it's gash. It's a good job he doesn't want a
10R because he'd be screwed for choice.

I have to agree. You can get a mint one with circa 12k on the clock
    for £4300.

I think it's a nice colour but it isn't silver by a long shot IMHO.

Good point. You could buy one and have to pay a shitload of money to
tune it up to about 25bhp down on what a Gixer thou makes as standard.
You may as well buy the better bike to start with.

Amen, but let's not stop the roll seeing as it was such an easy one to
    get going.

They'll hopefully do a naked version like the current Fazer 600.
