Or so I was told today. Out over Salisbury Plains on the KMX with a couple
of lads from the club. They're practicing for the Land's End Trial (24hr
offorad trial from Popham to Land's end (mental, I know).
Been a bit wet round here recently and we were playing silly buggers on the
'Mud Motorway' (the inner perimeter military vehicle track on the Plains).
Some of the 'puddles' were a bit deep. Actually managed to get the KMX
submerged to the petrol tank (!) and this time came out alive. That water is
    *cold*!
I prefer the open trails on the Plains but the other guys like the nasty,
very technical, *muddy* green lanes where their 4-strokes are far, far
superior. Had a few offs on those today I did.
Aching, cold, wet and very muddy, but God what an afternoon. I love living
down here and having all of this on my doorstep.

*Don't* go on yer own. Ever! I've been stuck so badly in mud that it's taken
2 or 3 of us over an hour to get the bike out. On my own, I'd still be
    there.
Also, you don't get much mobile phone coverage on the Plains. Worrying that.
