I agree, overwhelmingly too...

Q: Obviously, you could attend any motor sport event you wanted to on a
media credential ... which ones would you PAY to see and why?

PAY? A member of the motor sports press PAY? Perish the thought! Seriously,
I'd pay to watch my favorite race, which is the Springfield (Illinois) Mile
dirt track motorcycle race. The main event there is still the most
competitive 12 minutes anywhere in motor sports.

    Without any doubt...

  2. You got that right! A great race!! And, just think - back in the heyday of
dirt track racing, Springfield used to be 50(!) miles rather than the
    current 25!!

There's no other motor sport that can compare to the Springfield mile.
Something about 100+ HP bikes, three or four wide, going into turn one
at 135 MPH just gets ya hooked. I've been there three times, and those
were the three consecutive wins by Rich King.

Sideways at 130 with feet on the pegs and someone is kind enough to tap your
leg your leg so you know where they are. There ain't nothin' like it,
    anywhere!
