Hypothetically Speaking...

  1. If you had a chain driven bike, say, something small and gutless, a 200
Benly to pick an example from the thin air at complete random and for
some reason were not able to get it up on one wheel with any degree of
control or regularity. All other things being equal: where would be the
best place to plant your mass, the pegs or the seat?

    Just asking like. Snot important.

I always found first gear, standing on rear pegs and dumping the clutch got
the CG125 up on a long rolling slag of a minger... no rear break though, so
had to be quite active controling speed with the throttle.

That looks for all the world like some kind of primative weapon for
    launching donkeys into the air!

Thing is, you haven't got enough mass to make a difference.

That said, I never got the fucker to wheelie either. A non-slipping
    clutch might help.

Loz's CB250 was fun with a slipping clutch. You could whack the
throttle open and release the clutch smartly. The clutch would slip
like a bastard, maintaining engine revs while allowing road speed to
increase gently - then the clutch would grip and the front end would
    come up a treat. Auto-wheelies - great fun ;-)

I suspect that might be the case.

Adjusting it has helped. Not much mind, and the only real result seems
to be that the revs die a bit quicker.
