Or doesn't brake round corners, or close the throttle much. :)

    I've got a Hyosung Comet 125 and i reckon its brilliant,ok so its a
different bike but the engines are the same.

The sole importer in this country is Bavanar, see there site for more
    details.

  4. That's good to know, thanks. I also looked at the Comet but am leaning
more towards the Aquila cos I prefer the cruiser styling (until I move
onto bigger things, at which point I think I'll probably go for a sports
bike -- but that's a long way off yet).

I am a fan of the cruiser but imho you are going to be happier with a
pocket rocket and then a bucketfull of lazy cubes rather than the other
    way round.

Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Dave Bongo
    See, here's the thing.

On a 125-class bike you're going to be travelling very, very slowly.

On a CG125[1], you'll be travelling very, very slowly on something that
costs three-tenths of ****-all to run, can be maintained by a bonobo
with a lump-hammer, and (as noted by the dumpy-burd) can be kicked
straight when you fall off of it.

On a race-rep 125, you'll still be going very, very slowly but you'll
look (and sound) like a complete ****. And you'll be *fucking*
    uncomfortable to boot.

Welcome to the Wonderful World Of Motorcycling.

  7. And when you drop it, as you will, you'll have a four-figure bill for
    the plastics.

    I'm watching you Mr Eaton.
I need a bigger lump hammer or a less fussy MOT tester.
But oh the joy when he comes back and whinges about breaking the
plastic and we (generic) can go 'told you so'.
    Toed in the hole?
    Oh yes indeedy.
<holds hands with a left lean to indicate the problem>
<actually it should be right leaning but that's never going to happen>

You want a nice little Honda CG125, you do.
Hello Dave. Like you I have just got my CBT certificate and am
pootling around on a nice CG125, about 3 years old and the "old" (i.e.
1970's) shape. I can recommend it as a starter insofar as I have
never managed to stall it, it takes off quite quickly, and it's nice
and light and runs on a sniff of fuel.

I can never impress my mates anyway as they all know me.

Good luck though with the learning.
