    The man knew his stuff. Hoyt gave me a valuable tip years ago about
    shimming clutch springs with sparkplug washers. Like most of his
    advice, he was right. Heckuva good guy.

  3. He knew a lot of stuff. He was spectacularly wrong about other stuff.
    And when he was wrong, he would bend heaven and earth to avoid admitting
    that he was wrong.

    He would change threads, start new threads, edit posts, post insults, do
    anything rather than admit he'd made a mistake.

    I'd still like to have him around, thobut. Funny old world.

    He was fun in the machinist's group. Some of his pissing contests sparked
    long-lasting memories and quotes. He'll be missed.
