I have access to a 12 ton press that may be good enough to split a
crankshaft on a Suzuki 125 motocross bike. But do you have any advice
on doing this job? We used to do this with old 500 single Brit bikes
that had nuts on the sides of the flywheels as well as the press fit.

I believe that taking the main bearings off may involve using a special
tool .. maybe that can be made?

OOPs almost forgot the special tool I need to stop the clutch housing
from moving while taking off the large nut holding the crankcase
    together as well

    any help advice etc...

No .. not many facilities do this work in my area

    thanks

Be careful when pressing the cranks apart, if you don't line it up
perfectly, and properly support what your pushing, bad things can happen.
That being said, it's that simple, just support the crank cheeks and push
away, the crank pin will come out. I've built a couple of them and never had
a problem. I've never even had to use heat. I had a 20 ton press - that
might make a difference. You can use a generic gear puller that you can rent
from auto zone to get the mains off. I never purchased that special clutch
holder tool (although I do advocate proper use of tools - now watch me
contradict myself) I've used a penny between your primary and driven gears
to remove that nut. It's usually soft enough so not to cause damage, it has
worked well for me, and it's cheap
