I'm just stripping a fazer 600 of 02 vintage... the gear linkage is oneof
those metal ball and metal socket arrangements. Are you meant to be able to
seperate the ball and socket? if so how do you do it? I've not got a ball
joint splitter that small and a whack witha drift and hammer doesn't seem to
    budge it.

    TIA

Do you really have to split the ball/socket? Isn't there a splined
    shaft in the assembly?
