    4: You don't have to @#)$(@#)($* lube them every 400 miles!

    It really suprises me that the Euro 600s (Fazer, Hornet, etc) haven't
    switched to belt drive. The cost can't be more than $200 either, and
    the peaky 600 engines don't produce large shock loads on the belt.

    Probably not. The kickstand is supporting a good portion of the weight as
    well; however, your thinking is correct. The stand/kickstand as a unit are
    indeed holding well over 209#... I'd speculate that they're holding
    approximately 90% of the total weight of the bike.

    Regardless, a most excellent solution... Larry is the Man...

    Because belt drives are so "retro". At least they were 20
    years ago, when only two manufacturers used them.

    Now they're "space-aged".

    but not a foreign patent (euro law is no disclosure before filing).
