Paul Corfield emerged from their own little world to say
Apparently they have put sides on it to prevent people looking down. You'll
be able to see sideways through the perspex walls.

Do you go across viaducts on trains?

Bear secured a place in history by writing:
I've done the Pont Du Normandie in gusty weather once or twice. Not sure
I'd ever want to induce the degree of buttock clench that Millau might
induce. Has to be done though, I guess if I'm in that part of the world
    I'll bite the bullet...

  3. Oh dear.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

What a load of mouldy old trouser-cough.

Are you sure that 'TOG' doesn't mean 'Talks Only Garbage' ?

Would you like us to take each of those points, one by one ? No, you
probably wouldn't, as it was the biggest pile of inconsequential waffle
since Ace last posted about his gold taps, and you're only going to be made
    to look very, very dense.
Well of course I 'deny' saying something I never said, you idiot.
Just like you've done, you mean ?

What's this about gold taps? I've got gold taps too, you know. They sit
on a veritable symphony of a bathroom suite in dark shading to sky blue.
Lovely it is, if you're Dolly Parton.

I didn't buy them, btw, the whole suite was given to me by a grateful
customer (grateful to be shot of it). Currently it performs a useful
    service as a bird table.

Des has this fictional idea of Bruce's house, I think it's because he's
    never been invited round.

Bruce has normal chrome taps, however in a totally un-french way his
shitter doesn't even make a vwooosh noise.

    Shameful.

    The utter cad.
A travesty of French plumbing. The Unione Crapere will be round in the
    morning to rectify that.

  11. Heh. It's a 'metaphorical thing'. Ace has acquired a reputation in
private (and woe betide anyone who posts it here ... as the responses to
this will demonstrate quite eloquently) as a sort of rich, trashy
'loadsamoney' whose sole redeeming feature is that he has a huge house in
the French countryside where UKRMers can retire after a long ride south and
    get pissed.

He hasn't yet mentioned gold taps, but it's about the only aspect of his
apparently 'fabulous' lifestyle that he _hasn't_ mentioned.

  12. Being some one who does not like to throw things away or things go to
waste when the old hot tank split I've used the copper for lots of
things including covering the roof and tray of the bird table in our
garden. Sort of up market as it were.

  14. I should be at the Voxan factory in Issoires next April. I might take the
occasion to go further South. What's 300 km on a K100, after all .?

Verdigris is yer man for that kind of thing.

It's surprising how much copper sheet there is in a nold hot cylinder.
    Many uses indeed.
