How to fill up

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by The Older Gentleman, Sep 14, 2005.

  1. Yup, MCN, page 19 - how to fill your tank. Aimed at new riders.

I'd suggest that if you need to read a few-hundred-word feature on how
to insert fuel into your fuel tank, then you aren't quite ready for
    powered transport.

    This is my method

    1) Open thinger to tank.
    2) Insert nozzle into tank
    3) Squeeze until full, rock bike if feeling exotic
    4) Spray petrol around surrounding area while taking out
    5) Close thinger to tank
5a) (Optional) After paying ride off with your pillion footpeg wrapped
around petrol hose by mistake and look a right pillock.

They'll be running a few more articles in the near future:

    1) How to put your helmet on (and off again) safely.

    2) Your bike and how to clean it.

    3) Learning what all those funny buttons on the handlebars actually do.
