Well yes. Some of us drive through it to get to the main road.

  5. surely it's down to them just saying they don't like it, you saying you
do and everyone accepting we all have different tastes. A boring view to
    take, I accept, but pragmatic.
    you too?
    well exactly.
apart from this post I've kept clear.

We need a new 306 number that describes how every thread on here dissolves
into a discussion about the merits of nerd language.

    Bah.

  10. Well I got precisely nowhere with getting a score. Nothing approximating
to my job was on their most wanted list. And to think I've done
consultancy in Australia where we told them (Cityrail) what they were
    doing wrong.

Plus, I have no idea where you are. Last time I saw you you were in Wales or
    summat.

  15. Don't know but I doubt that they could as they are state owned IIRC.
They have had horrendous problems since a serious train crash uncovered
problems with driver competence / training / licencing. I'm sure you
would recognise an awful lot of the issues they are dealing with.

I was there to review their ticketing system development - my old area
    of expertise.

It was more in jest at your consultancy coupled with their recent
    renationalisation.

The competence issues are more medical standards and a design fault with
    the deadmans. IIRC.

    <aside>
I mentioned you to "our mutual friend". Who looked surprised ...

  17. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
Bunch of ageist cunts. A knockback turned into an acceptance by cutting
    some years off.

And you wonder why they don't want you back?
