    Perfect.

You seem quite good at this logic thing - ever considered a career in
    IT?

That sounds about as dull as the four things I currently have to do.

The most interesting of which doesn't even justify it's own moment of
    fame on usenet.

The only fun thing that's happened today has been winding up the
"Tivolli consultant" with a problem Tivolli can't solve... then
    eventually getting them to agree.

Can't be as boring as writing code to data mine the NLPG and retrieve
    BS7666 formatted postal addresses.

The 666 is in there for a reason.

Not at all - it was more a comparison between the number of posts by
Londoners complaining of requiring/needing CCTV /security etc
vs the number made by, oh lets narrow it down, you.

It's at least 1-0 to the Northern team AFAICR.

Where in the UK does this countryside exist? IME what most people consider
    'countryside' is farmland.

To me, there's a difference between something in it's natural state vs
something that's been made to look that way even if it doesn't have
    buildings stuck all over it.

Sorry, I didn't realise we were limited to talking about the UK.
Not sure exactly what you're trying to say here old chap. Of course,
there's very little of the UK that's in what you could call a
'natural' state, given that the whole landscapes's been changed by man
    over millenia.

But there's still quite a lot of the country that's not 'farmland,
even if a few sheep or cows graze on it. And what's wrong with
    farmland anyway?

Of course, for proper 'unspoilt' countryside you need to get off the
    island...

near me, off hand, Lea Valley Country Park (1000 acres ~ 4 sq.km) ,
Epping Forest (the largest public open space in the London area,
measuring 19km x 4km) and some smaller spaces like Trent Country Park.
    that's "wilderness", not "countryside".

I dunno, I'm reading a 50 page report on whether a float switch works
in 50/50 mix of coal dust and water. I'm on page 30 and they still
    haven't said.

Especially since they only upped the pass mark from 115 to 120 on 1
April....it's like they knew you'd be checking.)

It's not that I couldn't get in, just that I don't want to invest money
to do so, and having just turned 30 doesn't help me..

  19. Moved here (London) from Blackpool 8 years ago - wouldn't go back. Of
course, there's some who would suggest that you couldn't get any lower
    than Blackpool anyway, BICPC.
