Christ, some of those photos show bikes that look like they've just
come out of the crates from Japan.

Some of those are more than pretty damned immaculate though.
Not if you're a fizzie lover, or someone with the idea that there IS money
to be made. A bloke wot works near us has recently bought 2 DT 125's and has
spent well over 3 grand on each one getting them to look and work like
originals. He thinks it's been money well spent.

Teach a man to fish and he and his pikey mates will have the
river cleaned out in a day.

That's 'cos he's fixed one of the bikes and now has 13 runners and one

Can't be, there are no visible craters in any of the pictures.

  15. Jeez. How many Fizzies can one man possess?

And as for the buyer who snapped up the first lot: I mean, what's he
going to do with them. Selling them individually isn't going to realise
much profit, if any, and you'd be swamping the market anyway.

The reserve wasn't met the first time round. HTH.

  17. £29,700 was the top bid on the 1st auction but the (lowered) reserve
    still wasn't met. That's £2745/14 = £2121.42 per machine which seems
    like a good price for a bulk-buy.[/QUOTE]

Hmmmmmm...... if every machine was as new, yes. But it only takes a few
slight deviations from 'absolutely as new' condition to drop the price
from as much as £3000 per bike to £2000.

He must've found the one hiding in a corner. Either that, or his math is
    even worse than mine.
