Pretty much the 50-55mph range on mine, but as you say, lyning prone with my
feet on the rear indicators. :)

Oh for the wings of any bird, other than a battery hen.

Best speed is achieved by running naked alongside it.

I have vague recollections of an article about 15yrs ago in one of the
glossy bike mags, I'm sure they were South Africans and the feature was
about an exotic engine they'd built & fitted with 2 wheels, sort of like the
Merlin engined bike that hovers between folklore & reality.

There wasn't a picture but they did mention developing a FSIE that did
    120mph. I reckon it's theoretically possible from 50cc, but you'd have to
use methanol and tow it to 60-80 for the gearing. Assuming you could keep it
all together that is. Certainly be no good for racing.

I sit corrected, not "Fantic", but "Tiger Cross" IIRC.
Aye, they were proper fast little fuckers and would rev well
beyond normal limits given the right circs.

  11. I had a Garelli Tiger, about 68 was the fastest I got but it managed 50 2 up
which was more of a surprise.

I don't how fast Rob Morley's went, but he was the first guy in our back
street to get a bike. We were jealous as ****.

The day he got it, he was showing it off to us,then went down to pick up
his girlfriend Heather, who was *a bit tasty*, and looking good in her
    light white summer dress.

Well the third time he set off down the street, her dress caught in the
chain, and we were suddenly treated to the sight of the georgeous
Heather in knicks and bra, beating Rob round the head as he tried to
keep going on to her house. As the dress got well snarled and pulled the
bike to a halt, she had to jump off and leg it the last 150 yards.

    My how we laughed.

  13. You should've seen the 50cc racers at Chimay last year. Hysterically
funny, because they let them loose at the same time as the pre-1939
    ShiteOldSingles.

But the Fizzy was better looking with speed block graphics that said
it went faster. Know someone that kept his pre-restriction one.
Garaged with the chrome etc greased so it's still mint. 40 somethings
look bloody stupid on Fizz peds.

    Kin Hell !
Took me about 3 months to get to grips with the "spare" 8K rpm above 7K
    that the CBR600RR3 has.

Only used that spare 8k a couple of times (once was to catch up with a
GSXR which wheelied past me [1]).

I'm pretty sure Honda are pulling a fast one with the CBR600RR3, it's
probably a moped engine revved to death and they've stuck a big
subwoofer under the fuel tank to make it sound like a big bike.

    [1] Oh , the shame [2]
[2] Paging Gower : Please enrol me in the wheelie school this summer.

Lucky it was a really flimsy dress I'd agree.
