Any tips for somewhere to stay at the far end of Cornwall?

I'll be visiting somewhere outside St Just on Sunday morning, so
ideally somewhere between Bodmin and Land's End.

St Ives looks like as good a candidate as any.

    Newquay any good?

I've stayed at the Glendorgal on Porth Bay several times.

Nice 'beach' themed rooms, good beer, fantastic food.

I stayed here a few years back...

It was alright. Friendly owners. Certainly ok if you're just looking for
a pitstop. Not down in the town centre though, so if you want something
in staggering distance from the harbour it wouldn't be ideal.

Looking at the photos on the web site, it seems they've tarted the place
up quite a bit since I was last there. There's lovely.

    Looks just the ticket.

Got the last room for the night I wanted, too.

    Cheers.

    I've stayed here before:

Wasn't too bad but not quite St Ives.
